The first episode of the new season of NCIS is now aired.
I have been a fan of the show for the past 2 -3 years and am pretty much caught up on the old episodes which I had never viewed before.
The 9th season ended with another cliff-hanger involving a bombing at the naval base where NCIS headquarters is located.
In the show, the Sec. of the Navy speaks on the phone in the partially damaged office of the NCIS Director to the President and conveys the order that the identified scumbag who did the bombing is to be dispatched with extreme prejudice. Kind of old fashioned screen-writing dialog, but the gist of it is that the President has just ordered a hit on an American citizen.
I know. I know. It's fiction.
Then I thought, "but wait." This President might very well issue JUST such an order.
So, I chuckled. I guess the libs can't complain about that part of the plot.
