Let's make this SIMPLE for you. GE is possibly the worlds biggest manufacturer of weapons. What makes you think they would do ANYTHING to make those weapons more difficult to sell? They obviously wouldn't. Haven't we all heard about he "Good cop ..Bad cop?". GE owns one of the biggest media outlets for a good reason. They can offer a nicer and softer sell for what they really promote which is death and destruction. I heard today that most seasoned veteran politicians find ways to use the dollars in their campaign accounts as if it's their personal savings account to spend at will with no accountability what so ever. Can you say term limits and publicly funded elections.

So before you go laying all the blame on Obama for "bailing out" GE, you should have taken time to read your own link. Obama didn't take office until January 2009.

By the fall of 2008, credit had frozen across the financial system, including the commercial paper market. The Fed then purchased commercial paper issued by GE 12 times for a total of $16 billion. It bought paper from Harley-Davidson 33 times, for a total of $2.3 billion. It picked up debt issued by Verizon twice, totaling $1.5 billion.
