NEW YORK — NBA officials allegedly told referees not to call technical fouls on star players so that ticket sales and TV ratings of the games wouldn't be affected, a disgraced former ref told the FBI according to court filings Tuesday.

NBA Commissioner David Stern restated his support for his referees on Thursday after a retired official said that the FBI had questioned him about referee Dick Bavetta, the New York Times reports.

After watching the Suns get robbed last year, I can believe it. The NBA has it's favorites and those are the teams that get all of the calls. If your team ain't on the list, you will never be champions.

That's why I've pretty much stopped watching the NBA.
