NBA commissioner lays down law, says players will stand

One would hope it would translate into action, such as political involvement with individuals and parties that are committed to addressing these issues.

But no one is committed to addressing these issues. The only address for these issues is a massive reduction in the power of Federal government and people involved in politics are looking to urge the government to take more actions and effectively dig deeper into our lives.

As bad as things are, they're still preferable in the US to any of the many other countries where I've lived and worked, for now. And, in the far flung day where if finally does fall apart, maybe something better will crawl out of the ashes.

I live in hope.
I try to be as active as my situation permits in my local branch of the Libertarian Party. Maybe it will be of some use someday. All I know is sitting still and doing nothing is not the answer, at least not one I choose to accept.

I don't do nothing ... I take care of myself and my own to the best of my ability and plan for a future.

However, I don't participate in impotent political posturing or waste my time in pointless worrying over the state of things.

Not when there's Netflix and Internet porn to keep me busy.

Let's see what LeBron does, pretty sure he's a rabid douchebag liberal.

Anytime he opens is yap about politics, it makes him look more uneducated each and every time.

He said Trump is trying to use sports to divide us. What? Trump didn't draw first blood--the players did. They are trying to divide America--not Trump.

Says someone who can't even read through people's posts. Can't manage to read through a post and figure out what the points of the post are and reply accordingly.

It's funny how many people on this forum struggle to read, have no comprehension of what an argument is, or how to make one, and then they bitch other people out for looking uneducated.

Deflect much???

I'm not deflecting Ray.

You said that LeBron looks "more uneducated each and every time", I'm pointing out that you shouldn't be the sort of person to tell someone else that they're "uneducated".

You are not pointing out shit. You are stuck on a conversation we had weeks ago and can't get it out of your head. That's why you respond by bringing it up every time you reply to one of my comments. Drop it already.....sheeze.

Actually Ray, every time you post, it's the same shit.

Yes, we had a conversation a month ago or whenever, you didn't read most of what I wrote. Every single fucking time I wrote more than a few sentences, you would not read it. The question is why? Your response was you didn't have time. But you had time to reply to something you had no idea what was being spoken about.

How educated is that?

I won't drop it. Do you know why? Because you keep doing the same things.

You have arguments, you're making an argument right now, and your arguments are based on you ignoring massive amounts of information that you won't read, you're ignoring arguments that you won't read, you're ignoring so much, so that you can just carry on presenting the partisan hack bullshit line over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

It's tiring Ray. It's tiring to see the same bullshit arguments. You come on here and you tell people that some guy is uneducated. It makes me laugh because every argument you make shows me that you haven't thought about what you're talking about, that you're just doing what you've been told to think.

So no, I won't drop it. Until you start actually reading what people write, responding to what people write and actually using some semblance of logic in your posts.

Let's see if there are any empty seats at stadiums tomorrow. The double-chins generally eat cheetos and watch at home. Or, perhaps they'll have gear burning parties in the parking lot before the game, a tailgate roast.

Probably what will happen is most players will stand for the anthem like they have been and all the whiners will cry 'we've won' we can watch again and the whole thing is like the Confederate statues issue that has already been forgotten by cons.

Bar to hold NFL merchandise burning party this weekend

Bar to hold NFL merchandise burning party this weekend

WILDER, KY (FOX19) -

A Northern Kentucky bar is holding an NFL merchandise burning party this weekend to protest the national anthem controversy.

"The FIRST local BURNING of any and all NFL Merchandise against the NFL!!" is scheduled noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Top 10 Sports Bar, according to its Facebook page.

"This is to protest the anti-American, anti-US Military, and anti-First Responder stance of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, along with various anti-American NFL players and owners across the league," the bar's Facebook page states.

"Patriotic Americans are FED UP and are demanding it STOP!!"

"The patrons of the Top 10 Sports Bar are extremely patriotic, and like MOST Americans, have HAD ENOUGH of the disrespect the NFL has shown our beloved American flag and our National Anthem!"

Sunday's event will feature, according to the bar's Facebook page, a "mass burning of NFL jerseys and NFL merchandise to protest the anti-American stance of both the NFL, and many of its players. Politics has NO PLACE in professional sports and the American people have had ENOUGH!!"

The bar also will dole out various prizes and drink specials "for any patriotic American who brings an NFL item to burn in protest! Please wear Patriotic Apparel as well.

"GOD BLESS AMERICA!!"

The bar is located at 1412 Gloria Terrell Dr.

Wilder fire officials said Friday they have reached out to the state fire marshal's office to make sure the event won't violate any laws.

"They called us for a burning permit earlier and we told them it was OK as long as they keep it in a barrel, but are checking now to make sure they can burn jerseys," said Wilder Fire Chief Jim Profitt.

LOL Yes I'm sure these local little angry parties where they are burning their NFL panties will spring up here and there. The best part is they are posting these videos on youtube and they are funny as hell. "I hate YOU so I'm burning the shit I bought from YOU so I feel better."

Yes that always works out well. I've actually done this. I was really angry at the trees in the forest one weekend so I cut a bunch of their kind up and tossed them in the fire. My cat really thought it was a good idea as he parked in front of it all night.
Wait, you mean they aren't hurt financially when you burn your own possessions?

No it's weird. It sounds like a great idea but burning stuff you bought from a business to protest the business only means you don't have the stuff anymore. Who'd have thought.

Wrong, the burning means that you actively refuse to associate with terrorist, this is every good Americans duty as such.

i mentioned this before,,,imagine if this protest started with the angry players grabbing their crotches as a sign of various protests{like Michael Jackson did},,,you think shelia jackson would of done it?

You really wanna see funny?

Here it is

Yawn

It appears the NBA is smarter than the NFL. They can at least learn by watching the mistakes dumbasses make. Do you suppose the leftwing trolls will blubber about how the NBA is violating the First Amendment rights of the players?

“It’s been a rule as long as I’ve been involved with the league,” said Adam Silver, the NBA’s commissioner, about standing for the playing of the national anthem, The Associated Press reported. “And my expectation is that our players will continue to stand for the anthem.”
This was the last thread about nba. I love it. I think Lebrun Isaiah and Dwayne wade will be ready by the playoffs
