Imagine if the US of A was invaded by China and Russia in had its entire southern third taken and given to Mexico. To make matters worst Russia and China put a treaty on you completely killing your ability to compete and driving you into a depression ten times deeper then the one witenessed within the US. The US population would elect a man that would turn that around and go to war against China, russia and what ever other country within a new york second. We sided with Stalin that killed one hundred million people, followed with half of europe taken over for 50 years after the war.
