Nazi looted art found at future site of Bush presidential library - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

Two valuable works of art looted by the Nazis during World War II have been discovered at Southern Methodist University (SMU), which is the future home of the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

The pair of paintings on display at SMU's Meadows Museum rendered by Spanish artist Bartolome Esteban Murillo of Seville's Patron Saints Justa and Rufina, estimated to be worth more than $10 million, are believed to have been stolen from the Rothschild family in Paris in 1941.

According to the release, Nazi code evidencing Rothschild ownership is still visible on one of the paintings; it appears to have been rubbed off the other.

Now, resisting the urge to laugh at the irony, it's not like Bush's family was involved with the Nazis or anything.

Uhm..Well..This is awkward. :eusa_eh:

Though I will say this, someone needs to get Eots or Terral on the case considering the Rothschilds are involved.

Let me be very clear - I think W was a poor president and that we are still trying to get out of the hole he dug us into - BUT this is one of those silly spin job threads that I detest.

They were found at SMU, the future home of the Bush library. And, other than showing your inane partisan proclivity, what does this have to do with the Bush family?

Yea that Bush was a damn Nazi!!!! Man,talk about boring and stale rhetoric. The Liberal loons just seem so lost without their Bush Boogeyman. Now they're actually resorting to playing their tired old Nazi card. I actually feel sorry for them now. I never thought i would say that. lol!

This is a circular story. One the one hand they have identified it as stolen......then. On the other hand, they seem to be very aware of the provenance through Meadows who endowed the museum. I am not getting it. It says now they are looking to see if Meadows paid the Rothschilds????

Yes that mean ole Bush is a NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Seriously, the Liberal loons really are just so lost without their Bush Boogeyman. Resorting to their tired old "Bush is a Nazi" chit? Wow what a snooze fest! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Meanwhile, the Hussein administration and the rest of the Democratic Party are following in the footsteps of the National Socialist Party.
