I live right next to Nellis AFB and have yet to see a single F-35 take off or land there - and it's a major training site. There's an F-22 squadron that stays quite busy - as much as fuel availability allows.

F-35 training is done at Luke AFB in Arizona, they have over 100 F-35s if you want to see one take a road trip to Glendale.

There are a lot of AF bases, them not being stationed at the one near you isn't relevant.
