According to Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Conrad Thompson said that Flair's situation "is not as grave or serious" as TMZ's report suggests. Thompson said Flair underwent a planned procedure that he wanted to get done before his roast, which is scheduled for Starrcast prior to All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing in Las Vegas next weekend.

Thompson is Flair's son-in-law and the host of multiple wrestling-related podcasts, as well as the organizer of Starrcast.

But over the years, a lot of pro wrestlers have died at relatively young ages due to illness. Bruno Sammartino just last year, but also Piper, Savage, Dusty Rhodes, Studd, Andre, have all passed on.
