Nationalize American BIG-OIL!!!

LOL, y'all silly.

Two options: 1) get the world to sell me gas at the price I like, or 2) earn more income so I don't care what gas costs.

Lets see now, which option would be the easiest? . . . Hum ... (ponder ponder ponder) Well, I think I'll choose option 2.

There, problem solved. Well, for me anyhow. Later.

Things work so much better when I just take charge of a problem instead of expecting others to fix things for me.

NO. Private companies, let the market control.
Uhhhhhhhhhhh......that's what's going-on, presently.....and, Teabaggers are in....

.....FULL-BLOWN
WHINING
-MODE!!!!!

gop-cry-baby.jpg

Isn't it true. They whine to have the market regulate itself and when it does and then one of their own, the beloved oil companies shit on them, they cry like babies.

Gee, you're full of fucking wisdom....You should realize from here on in you are dismissed as irrational. Buh bye.

If The President's gonna be (continually) busted for not doing more about prices-at-the-pump....while still being accused o' being a socialist....he might-as-WELL socialize all Big Oil interests, in the U.S., and SET prices-at-the-pump!!!!

Hell......who's he gonna piss-off; the high-roller$/1%er$/Teabaggin'-lackies?? Fuck them. They're a minority, anyhow.

So would the current federal taxes be dropped as it would seem kind of stupid to collect a tax if you already are collecting the money?
Federal taxes are a flat 18.4 cents per gallon of regular gasoline and with the USA
using in 2010, the United States consumed about 137.76 billion gallons (or 3.28 billion barrels1) of gasoline that's $253 million a year in federal taxes alone.
Which those dickheads in Washington spend every week.

. . . Federal employees earn higher average salaries than private-sector workers in more than eight out of 10 occupations, a USA TODAY analysis of federal data finds. . .

That really bothers some people, doesn't it, to see others with more. Coveting, jealousy, I think they call it, very unbecoming. Blinders may help.

Since there are only two American oil companies, the best nationalizing the oil industry could do is to make sure governent vehicles have gas, but no one else.

There are thousands of oil companies in the U.S.
Only two are major integrated international operators.
The rest are Independents. These are the companies that drill 95% of all oil and gas wells in this country.
This whole thread is ridiculous.
Of course it is..But it's fun to torment these fucking libs . They do not know what the hell they want. All they know is that they are miserable and need everyone else to be equally miserable.

FTR nationalizing the American energy industry would be retarded.

In Norway we have nationalized the largest oil company "statoil", the government owns 66% of the stocks the rest is owned by private investors. It is a private-public company. The government takes out dividend and puts it into a pension fund which is invested abroad. The government dosent involve in business and decisions, it only has a financial interests as a regular private investor.

USA are struggling with environmentalists having to much power, if the government gets a financial interest the environmentalists will have to back off. Because the government needs money. The income from oil companies could also replace taxes and open for tax cuts.

The government would lose money hand over fist if it tried to recover the oil itself.

Can you name one government operation that was ever run more cheaply than a private sector equivalent?

Medicare
Medicaid
The US Army
The US Navy
The US Marines
Social Security

Would you like me to go on?

You're trying to tell us the Army and Navy are efficiently run?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You have to be joking!

Stories about about waste in the military are legion. Remember the story about the $600 toilet seat? That was for a navy plane.

Can you name a single weapons program that hasn't been criticized as "bloated," wasteful" and "far too expensive?"

Do you know how much the new F-35 plane is going to cost? $335 million for each plane. This is supposed to be the "low cost" alternative to the F-22.

How do you figure Medicare and Medicaid are "efficient," by ignoring all the fraud?

Social Security is "efficient" only if you believe plundering all the taxpayer's money is "efficient." According to that standard, Bernie Madoff's investment firm was "efficient."

Libs kill me.

Ain't that the truth. I still don't have a clue what what the hell is wrong with them, other than it appears their parents failed to prepare them for life on Earth.

Life is FREAKING grand right now, but you got to get up fill your own plate if you want any of it. If you're just gonna sit there and wait for someone else to bring you a plate of life, well, good luck with that but don't bitch if all you end up with is a bone. Go wait by the dog, libtards.

StatOil is a well run company but it really isn't a relevant analogy to the US. There are 5 million Norwegians and 315 million Americans, with much a different history, culture and political structure.

No, the government does not need the money. It wants the money. Giving it more money is like giving a drug addict more drugs.

And if you think the environmentalists will back off because the government is doing the drilling instead of private industry, I've got a lovely seaside estate in Kansas I'd love to sell you.

So stop using oil...

The government spending as % gdp is about the same.
Norway 40.2% gdp is government spending, tax burden % gdp: 42.1%.
USA 38.9% gdp is government spending, tax burden % gdp 26.9%.

So the government spends about the same amount of money.

But the problem for you in USA is that the rich contributes to little to overall welfare, in Norway they contribute more and the government can deliver balanced budgets. The government spending is about the same, so the US government needs more money.

Your post make Lenin smile, Comrade.

We should just nationalize everything.

That way we could all eat our government issued food, drive our government issued Chevy Volts, live in government issued homes wear our government issued clothes listen to government radio and watch government TV

Everyone would be equal and no one wold be poor. Sounds like heaven.

Sounds like hell to me.

Imagine life in the liberal utopia

Every morning you could wake to the sultry voice of government piped in over your mandatory state controlled intercom.

"Good morning, Citizen.

Today is April 11 2012. The temperature today will be 100 degrees your thermostats will be set at 97 degrees.

Those whose names begin with the letter A may shower for 2 minutes today. Your water temperature will be set at 60 degrees.

Breakfast will be 4 ounces genetically modified soy meal and water with fluoride and other vital medications added for your convenience."

What type of idiot thinks government should grow right along with the economy? Why do those same idiots try to grow government even more in an economic downturn?

It's Europe. All they have left is government.

Don't worry, LOL, if communism depends upon my mandatory participation to fly, I'll hurl myself over a cliff and bring communism down .... and I'll take as many commies with me as I can. I promise. Lets all promise.

Communism is evil. It's immoral. It's slavery. Kill Kill Kill I will to defend myself, my life, my freedom, and my right to decide whom I choose to freely associate with and without.

Commies suck. They aren't human.
