National Healthcare in Britain: They just canceled 50,000 surgeries...

That's why the rest of the world flocks to the US when they need the best healthcare!

No one is questioning the quality of the Healthcare. But the system is broken. What good is high quality health care when no one can afford it.

And yes other people do come to our country for Healthcare. But their government pays for their care while in the US.

I work in Qatar and if there is a procedure that can't be done in Qatar , the government will send them to the US and pay for it.

Our government won't even pay for an advil.
Why do you want other people to pay for your shit? Are you some type a fucking deadbeat?

Healthcare is a human right. Every other first world nation has universal healthcare.

People shouldn’t be dying because they’re afraid of incurring debt from medical bills.
I have no right to healthcare, but I do have a right to earn my health care. Why do you people insist on forcing everybody into the shit that is socialized medicine?

Universal healthcare is paid through taxes like education and the roads you drive on. We already pay taxes. So our tax dollars should at least go into a necessity like healthcare.

Universal healthcare is paid for through all kinds of taxes on everything you use, and also through inefficiency, lack of available doctors, insanely long wait times to see a doctor . . .

Feel free to donate your money to the government if you want. Just stop trying to donate mine.

As you can see by the very headline of this thread, people in those countries you admire, DIE on egregious waiting lists and a lack of facilities.

How is that better than what we have in America?

People in France and UK die because of their healthcare.
And no one dies in the US because of lack of access to healthcare.
Your point is well made.

Incorrect. Some people cannot afford their medication which results in them skipping a pill to stretch them out. This causes some people's conditions to worsen.

Also many people refuse to call 911 because they are afraid of the ambulance bill.
So you are favor of the nanny state... lol
Pathetic

... so you're saying the UK healthcare system is prejudiced against the poor??

Face facts, ALL health care systems are "prejudiced" against the poor.

Life sucks.
Wow!

Everybody says how fair and equal the Canadian and UK systems are - how they care for the poor, how they support the needy - and now we find out that, in fact, if there is a shortage of tax funding, they just let the poor die. I'm curious ----- do they call these government bureaucrats "Death Panels", too?

Hardly seems fair and equal to me.

Wouldn't it be fairer to allow them to walk into medical facilities, allow them to get care, and then offset the cost to those who can afford it? You know ---- kinda like we USED to do.

They just don't have the doctors or facilities available.

What the hell are you two going on about? LOL!

If you don't have enough of something for everyone who wants it how do you control who gets it? Most people raises prices until it cost too much for some people and supply matches demand. If prices go up high enough other people will say I'll make and sell that stuff too.

Doesn't happen anymore in England do it.

Simple rationing. That's why Canada has such incredibly long waiting lists costing thousands of lives.

Great Britain has just cut 50,000 scheduled operations.

That's how that match supply with demand. Of course, superior health care is always available to the wealthy.

I'll tell my dying mother that it's because they didn't raise taxes enough. I'm sure that will make her passing much easier.

Doesn't this exactly highlight the danger of socialized medicine? Bureaucrats and accountants making decisions about your health care?

Damn!

What a wonderful system .... guess that's what happens when you let a bunch of amateurs design your health care system.

at this rate their health program will rate right there with cuba

another socialist utopia the leftards love so much

We didn't make the top 16.

The 16 countries with the world's best healthcare systems

That's why the rest of the world flocks to the US when they need the best healthcare!

That's why Americans flock to Mexico for affordable healthcare.
You do know most clinics in Mexico are owned by American doctors because they don’t have to pay for fucked up frivolous lawsuits and extreme regulations and liability insurance

It is NOT true that most medical clinics in Mexico are owned by American doctors.
