Think Joe is OK with it and doesnt hold it against his alma mater.

ND depth chart at QB - have Dayne Crist, Tommy Rees (ask Miami about) and a hot shot QB recruit from South Carolina (recruited by Tony Rice???)

Joe was about 7th on the Notre Dame QB depth chart until Devine got around to starting him.

You compare ND football to Ohio State since 1964 - Ara P first year - not close.

When was the last time Notre Dame was in a BCS bowl?

    Compare that to Ohio State
Hell, compare it to Boise State

BCS -ND lost to Oregon State, Ohio state -------- BCS is garbage anyway

    since 1964

    ND

9-1 in 1964 (got screwed at USC)

    9-0-1 in 1966 (NC)

10-1 in 1970 finished #2(beat #1 Texas in Cotton Bowl)

    12-0 in 1973 - NC

    11-1 in 1977 - NC (destroyed #1 Texas 38-10)

    12-0 in 1988 NC

    11-1 in 1989 finished #2

12-1 in 1993 finished #2 despite whupping Floridqa State

    Ohio st since 1964:

Beat USC in 1969 Rose Bowl - legit NC

got whupped in Rose Bowls except for a few occassions

got a mariginal NC in 2001 agsainst Miami

Beat Oregon in the 2010 Rose Bowl (THANKS)

And yes - Ohio State did defeat ND 3 times in 1995, 1996 and 2006. But the first 2 were some of Ohio states best-ever teams.

Really no comparioson between ND and Ohio State in the big picture.

So basically you are telling us that Notre Dame hasn't had a major win in 18 years while Ohio State has won two National Championships since then

Boise State has a better ranking than Notre Dame in the last ten years

My mistake...ONE NC in the last 18 years
How many times has ND been ranked top 10 in the last 18 years vs Ohio State?

ND is a once proud football tradition. Sadly, they have fallen on bad times and are no longer a top flight football power. Losing to Navy will do that to you
