Well if you cant afford daycare to work then you work as a babysitter .. That is what I did. It was to expensive for me to work and pay for 3 kids in day care so I worked as a babysitter for years to bring in extra money. Made good money back then.

Well keep in mind that California (who Pelosi represents) also wants to tax babysitting, force overtime wages for babysitters, and mandate breaks for the babysitter. Consider the kind of mentality at work here.

I think what Pelosi, and other liberals want, is us to drop off our kids at the government controlled daycare center, drive our government provided car to our government job and give our paycheck to the government, go home to our government provided house, eat our government regulated dinner, watch some government controlled TV, have some government approved sex, and go to government sleep. I think there was a country that did that once wasn't there? Oh yeah.....the U.S.S.R.

I know you righties are going to dis me for this but I'm open to it depending on how its funded. When my wife and I had our two girls my business had yet to take off and my wife wasn't out of college yet. Getting by and paying childcare was an absolute bitch.

Having said that right now our country can't afford anymore programs. Maybe in a decade or so if we get our spending under control. If we can waste money subsidizing oil (nearly as profitable as gold) we can subsidize our future.

You're right, I am going to diss you. You shouldn't be having children until you can afford them. You could have waited until your wife was done with school.

High quality? When has the federal government ever provided high quality services? Mediocre is about the best we can hope for.

I have said it for a long time, I have no problem with the government opening day care centers for welfare moms (who must volunteer so many hours a month) so that they can seek employment AND once they find employment survive on the wages they get. But, from the sounds of things, that is not what Mrs. Pelosi is talking about.

We are not forcing them to bear any children. Why not prevent before there is a problem with having not having a child . When taken correctly the birth control pill is over 99 percent effective. Taxes should not be for daycare .. Just another entitlement that you left wing nuts want.

HOW ABOUT IF WE JUST GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE WAY????
Drop all the regulations and burdens on opening a daycare! Hell dont require any taxes filed on it! Watch daycare become easy to find, watch the prices fall as there is competition, and watch the middle class grow as all that income is more fairly distributed among the people working in that industry.

Last time I checked most women knew how and where babies come from. If they truly want total control of their reproductive system maybe they should control the unprotected dicks they allow in them. Once they control the entry point then they will have control of their own body and not the body within them.

Just to be clear I paid my way. But your assertion that I had kids too early isn't misplaced its just stupid. Dumb kids do dumb things before they are mature enough to make proper decisions. I was one of those kids. Having said that, I have no regrets.
