I explained in the rep. Your title is misleading. He's an offical of the NAACP not the leader.
But as I said thanks for the link.

Tank here's your title of the thread.

NAACP Leader Convicted Massive Voter Fraud scheme

The article says she is a "leader".

A leader is not the leader
and actually here's what your sources calls him
Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee

He's a member of a committee whi ch the source doesn't say if he was thje chair of the committee.

I am not going to argue over word useage, but others will.

1. ONE woman, a LOCAL NAACP official faked the votes of 10 people in 2007.

2. She has been caught, tried and convicted. Justice has been done.

3. She was acting under her own initiative...NO evidence has been presented or proved that she was acting under the direction of the NAACP heirarchy.

4. In 2004, 48 voter registrations by the NAACP was tagged as fraudulent.....those frauds were NOT counted as votes, as it is policy to vet ALL registrations by ALL groups and parties. There were no prosecutions or convictions to prove that there was a conspiracy by the NAACP in general to defraud the vote in any election.

Okay, wishful thinking to maintain your neocon fantasy of the evil liberal conspiracy is just that, wishful thinking

People working for Acorn were busted for trying to get paid for phony registrations....they were busted by ACORN officials, and NONE of those phony registrations EVER to logged as real votes.

So how many times will neocon parrots and pundits keep trying to pass off this hype as SOP for any liberal organization or the Dem party in general?

This is why we need voter ID laws.

Oh, great. Nothing like getting horny at this hour of the morning.

You're ignoring the FACT that these were people hired to get paid for registrations. They were caught turning in phony registrations by ACORN officials. NONE of those phony registrations were cast as REAL votes. If you have any evidence to prove such, then please do so.

Bottom line: ACORN should have been shut down due to that embezzlement incident by one of it's own administrators, in which it was NOT reported to the proper authorities, but "handled" internally by the brother of the culprit...who put the money back and took a lower station in the organization.

Instead, ACORN gets canned by a bunch of panicky politicos eager to get ahead of the neocon propaganda machine. So the right thing happened for the wrong reasons.

And again for the intellectually bankrupt, the NAACP official acted alone, was NOT part of some conspiracy by the entire NAACP organization, was bagged and tagged. End of story, justice is done.

We already have voter ID laws that have worked quite well....as the amount of actual voter fraud is miniscule in this country. What neocons are trying to pass are laws that essentially put out delays and difficulties for voting populations that mostly go Democratic to vote.....similar to the crap Blackwell pulled in Ohio in 2004.

Shame Tank had to come across this.

It might have been in politics of the justice forumns instead of in the Race one.

This won't get as much spread compared to the assumptions heeped on republicans and conservatives that are going on now.

She was convicted, not just accused of voter fraud. This should be a lead story some where.
