Reminds me of Saddam with his "Mother of all Battles".

A single phone call to a certain General in a certain area of Florida could take care of this problem in less than a month.

Ooh, severe punishment from North Korea. What, are they going to kidnap some Japanese movie directors or something?

Shut the fuck up Korea, you are a joke. My culture is superior to yours in every single way and we got ICBMs.

Saw this coming. With Russia and other countries short on food stuffs this coming year, North Korea has to puff itself up as big as possible to garner some aid. Sign the peace treaty here and nuclear arms threaty here, we'll see what we can do.

Keep them at arms length, prevent any major idiocies by making sure the leadership knows that they will be the first to go. Then sit back and wait. That society cannot go much further without imploding.

You would think that, but the have been through worse before. During the mid 90's they went through a famine that killed about 3% of the population without a hiccup.

The army is fed, the secret police are fed, discipline is absolute and they know nothing about the outside world at all.

    It doesn't matter....

They will still report in the North Korean news media that they kicked our ass to teach us a lesson
