I now know that Klaus is primarily allergic to plant allergens/environmental allergens and not his food.

So I don't have to beat myself up about not spending 200+ dollars a month on specialty foods. We're back over in the Eastern part of the state; and his itchies have completely gone away. No blotchiness, no lesions, no swollen red ears.

We went from living in the high desert, near the painted hills, which is very like Mars...to living in the temperate rain forest. There are a LOT of allergens, but there are certain ones that are very abundant...rhododendron, pine, different grasses..I dunno what else. Scotch Broom.

The thing is, they are so abundant that it is pretty much impossible to avoid them; and it is most likely one or more of those. They don't exist on the other side of the state.

So what can be done, KG? Is there medication he can take to help him, or would you be considering a move somewhere where he is not so affected?
