My son is in management!!!!

Hopefully he's a good manager. I really respect my supervisor, but that's because she strives to be fair and understanding with an open door policy. She's not vindictive, she has an equally good work ethic as I do, and she invests quite a bit of time with the people she's managing.

Same with mine. I hope she's in charge of me for always.
 
I feel sorry for him since a 50's management style is still the prevailing model in this country with a heavy measure of 'diversity' thrown in.
 
I am going to guess middle-management....which is basically responsibility without authority. Blame without the ability to alter the rules and policies. And finally - the first people to go in layoffs.

Not quite correct.
Line workers are decimated to just is what deemed necessary, when cuts come, and middle mgmt. second, with of course, upper level mgmt. last.
Keep the pecking order straight, for chrissakes!
