MY mom wasnt a soccer mom

Soccer was always the sport for kids who weren't tough enough to play football.

Actually - our high school prefers soccer players on the lacrosse team.

At least the know the difference between offense/defense.

Neither was my mom...but she supported ALL of us in whatever our aspirations were.

Does this thread have a point?

We didn't have "Soccer Mom's" in the 70s.
If we wanted to go to football practice, whatever - by God, we walked.

No kidding. I lived several miles from any school I attened. Unless it was raining? I hoofed it to wherever I was going until I earned enough for a bicycle.

:doubt:

I played football, basketball and baseball and soccer whenI was growing up.

Soccer was th eonly one my parents didnt like.

Soccer (and hockey)( has its good points - mainly cobntinuoas action. As does basewball,

I dont't like all of the time outs and stoppages (instant replay) in American football and basketball,

Didnt used to be that way.
