This may be the worst B monster movie of all time. Saw it in the theaters when it first came out in 59. I thought it was real scary then...

that may have been "teenagers from outer space." (yes, there was really a movie by that title.) its monsters were lobsters, though they weren't plastic, they were just forced perspective.

I saw "Killer Shrews" weekend before last. It was a crack up. The "Monster Shrews" were dogs with real funny costumes on. Everybody in the movie drank like fish and chain smoked.

The plot was very similar to The Beast From The Haunted Cave.

invaders from mars is a gorgeous movie.

i almost feel like "killer shrews" was trying to be some sort of "who's afraid of virginia wolf" character study. they spent so much time on focusing on everybody drinking and bickering, and so little time on the shrew-dogs, that it seems like a cheap drama rather than a proper monster movie. a bunch of the old monster movies are surprisingly talky like that. maybe because they were smart enough to realize that their monsters were ridiculous looking and they were best off showing them as little as possible.

"sound of horror" is about an invisible dinosaur. literally. an invisible dinosaur.

"them" is also actually a pretty good movie, imo.
