I don't get the big fuck with animal testing. I'm an animal lover, but I also believe in the food-chain. How did we get to where we are on the food chain? Intelligence & technology. Otherwise, lions would f%^k you up!~. Point is, do you eat meat?

If not, I can understand the "no animal testing," but when a lab-guy cures cancer by testing on rats or monkeys, or anything lower than us on the chain, I will be more than happy to accept the cure shall I ever be diagnosed.

Do I like Razor bumps? In this society, being presentable plays a minor role in career advancement, thus playing a role in yours and your family's prosperity. It also helps you get laid and reproduce, keeping the family structure in tact. After-shave, shampoos, etc. etc., go ahead and test them.

Well as far as animal testing there are certainly level of brutality. Setting pig on fire because their skin is most like human skin is pretty brutal but I guess we have gotten a lot of new treatments so I am kinda on the fence on that one.

nah, those plastic bags are handy for the kids and my lunches. as well as secondary trash bags for the smaller 'cans.

um. no. but its more of a personal economics thing. my vehicle is an '88 ford f150. fully paid for and runs like a champ, inline six engine. why should i get rid of it, when the maintenance costs are only about 400 per year

absolutely. i have to pay for it after all. why wouldn't i want to cut my bills?

Yeah Radio I am kinda in the same boat as far as cars. Both of our cars are paid off and seem to be running pretty well though I am concerned with both of then at nearly 140,000 miles each.

I really think that just having advanced trip comps on all new cars would help lessen our use of fuel. When you are on it nice a steady and you see that you are getting 50MPG then you try to keep your foot out of it.

WJ I drive my Pontiac like a bat out of hell but I drive my wife's Passat in a VERY tame fashion because it is a challenge to get the ave MPG up as high as I can. Slow stops slow starts and a yellow light or two ran and I can get it up to about 30 MPG.

Not note that these are BOTH 10 year old cars with about 140K each but if I were in a position to buy a new car it would be quick but still have good fiel economy. Beleive it or not you CAN get both in one car.

I buy what is in season and shop the local farmer's market. Buying organic at the store isn't always cost effective for a family that eats a lot of fresh fruit and veges. I do my best.

I drove a Toyota Corolla up until last December when I upgraded to a Sienna mini van. With 2 kids, plus one that I watch, the Corolla became too small.

I live in a small house, keep my heat at 67 in the winter. Put plastic on the windows. Shopping around for a more efficient front door. Why the hell would I waste electricity when it costs so much? Conservatives like to save money.

Quite often, even if it means spending a little more money. It isn't that I view Walmart as the big enemy like many libs, it is just that dealing with crowds isn't my fave so I choose a small local grocery store on those days.

I recycle newspapers consistently. Since I live in an area where recycling bins are hard to find, the other stuff is too much of a pain in the ass.

No. I take the plastic bags, then use them as garbage bags and food storage, and sometimes in packing when I move, and I move frequently.

I use only energy-efficient bulbs, keep my thermostat up to 80 degrees in the summer, down to about 68 in the winter, and I shut of my AC entirely if it's in the low 70s to upper 50s outside. In the winter I'll wear a sweater indoors. I also use sunblocking curtains that keeps the home modestly cooler in the summertime.

No I don't. I shop at the cheapest stores that give me the best deals. If the local guys can't offer me the lowest price, I won't do business with them, end of story.
