I asked the incoming democratic president to do two things as soon as he came into office and that was:

    1. To rein in the nation's banks. Specifically to prohibit banks from holding or investing in private equity and hedge funds unless the Bank's individual customers ask for that investment. Banks like JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley would have to shed so-called "proprietary trading" units that place derivative bets on the market. I know you have seen my posts about this unethical behavior in the past.

    2. Take immediate steps to help American Industry to create jobs. If we have to become protectionist to do so, then so be it, but create the damn jobs. I know you guys have seen my posts about this topic, too.

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

There were two major things that Obama needed to do to fix America. To date, Obama has done neither, though he came out with a speech a few days ago that hinted that he might take corrective action with the Big Banks that are so corrupt.

Then in the state of the union address he said that he was in favor of creating jobs.

WTF? That should have been his top priority a year ago!!!

Instead of talk and more talk, we needed to see action a year ago, instead he decided to get into bed with the Big Banks and then increasingly lie about the economy. We do not need a president who is that corrupt.

We might not need a president who is that corrupt, but unless he was under oath when he told the lies you speak of, it is not an impeachable offense.

I think you have valid points of objection to the presidents policies, but calling for impeachment over policy is the action of a nutcase.

Yet another case of Neubarth crying wolf, wolf wolf! When you find an impeachable offense, let us know. So far, your posts contain valid points of objection, but no legal basis for impeachment. Your local community college probobly offers courses in citizenship, check into it.

I fail to see how not engaging in certain policies is an impeachable offense.

Furthermore, Obama never said he'd take on these issues if elected.

For your benefit, I will repeat an old post of mine that I cut and paste for the benefit of all.

Both parties created this mess, because both parties did not rein in the corrupt policies of the Big Banks. Greenspan sat on the sidelines and initially decried the corrupt practices that he was seeing, but eventually, he, too gave into the corruption. I realized that when seven years ago he started shilling for the ARM industry while still the Fed Chairman. Do any of you remember his repeated statements telling people that ARM's were the way to go? Unbelievable corruption. It did not take a genius IQ to know what ARM's could do to the economy and to house prices if people started defaulting. We would have a slowly falling house of cards exactly as I predicted seven years ago when Greenspan sold his soul to the devil.

On the key issue that I presented to Obama, "Government can help create jobs in the private sector just as easy as it has destroyed them." Government policies are directly responsible for millions of good paying American Jobs going overseas.

Obama has done absolutely Jack Chit nuttin' about restoring those jobs. That is right, I used the "Jack Chit" words! That means I am really serious.

Government doesn't create jobs directly other than by increasing Federal jobs and that is usually a loss of money because no productive work is created; but, Government can create a favorable environment for job creation just like it created an unfavorable environment that resulted in job destruction over the past few Presidential administrations.

Restoring those lost jobs should have been his top priority if he was really a Democratic President instead of a shill for the Big Banking Industry like Greenspan became when he sold his soul. I say Impeach him, try him, and once found guilty, punish him appropriately for High Treason against the people of the United States.

If Obama really wanted to do something, he would have done it while he had a tremendous voting advantage in Congress. Instead, he has wasted a whole year and is only now speaking as if he was a true Democrat at heart. BOLSHOI!!!

I understand you are upset that Obama is not enacting policies you advocate. I am just pointing out that is not an "impeachable offense".

Calling people names does not really correct the situation. Shame on you.

Obama has committed High Treason against the American people. You may want to deny it, but it is clear to me. He took an oath to protect and defend, and he has deliberately failed to do so. Why is it so hard for you to see it?

Maybe you need to go read the Presidential Oath of Office to see where his deliberate failure to act is an impeachable offense???????

His deliberately corrupt policies has resulted in the near destruction of this once great country. There was a horrible corrupt mess that had started sucking the Government dry, and Obama felt justified to allow them to continue the destruction of this country. If FDR had failed to respond to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, I would have called for him Impeachment, too. Obama saw a greater threat than FDR did, and he has done absolutely Jack Chit nothing.

First of all, it's pretty weird of the OP to fault the prez for giving a speech that he's required to give. "Talk is cheap" - well sure. Action is better, but you're taking a swipe at the guy for giving a required show and tell? That's pretty cheap in my book.

Second of all, he's not JUST NOW starting on jobs. Apparently your hatred closed your ear ducts. He said he'd already worked on the issue...but was re-focusing on that issue even more. The stimulus was designed to protect jobs. We can argue about the efficacy, but you're still whining about nothing.

Now...sit back and let me blow your mind...I agree he hasn't done enough to reign in banks. But how can he get any traction to do anything when republicans dig in their heels and wont compromise at all??

What KILLS ME...is how republicans are the party of big business...and big business' excesses and greed have caused most of the problems!! Maybe you'll stop praying to Gordon Gecko cuz he's got a cool gel hair cut.
