For clarity: In 1947, the Jews continuing to live in the area, as their ancestors had for multiple millennia and had under continued strife with the Muslims there (calling themselves Palestinians), asked the United Nations Security Council, to declare a "portion" of the land their ancestors founded and built upon, the sovereign nation of Israel.
The United Nations Security Council, recognizing the history, that Islam invaded the area and conquered it through violence, agreed to give the Jews some territory that they could have as a sovereign nation. Israel was born. The Muslims there, adhering to strict Koranic teachings, are taught that once a land has been conquered from "non-believers," should the conquered people, get their land back, they are to be considered "occupiers" and that they are not to live under "non-believer" rule. Thus, the Muslims (Palestinians) claimed that they would not live under Jewish rule and "voluntarily" chose to leave the newly created nation of Israel. They, contrary to Muslims PR claims, were NOT thrown out. They relocated themselves, relocating to Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon (Lebanon being another example of their evil aims).
