Don’t look at their advertising. That’s BS intended to sell a product. Look at the information they put out to their investors and shareholders. You’ll generally find a very different line of thinking.

Stock, that from what I've seen, he's never sold a share....almost 34 million shares.
He keeps buying more with his own cash.

it is sick and sad, that elon musk would build an electric car that has much more capacity or use, that can be unlocked, if people pay more money. He sells that same car for 50k, that you pay 60k for. Tne 60k car can travel farther, more miles, than the 50K car. The battery is the same, nothing is different between the cars. You simply have to pay more money to unlock the range. Why sell the same battery in the same car with two different ranges in miles? Why not just sell a smaller, less expensive battery, that does not use as much natural resources producing that battery. Why build big using more oil, and then not letting people who have bought that product use it to its full potential. It is rotten dirty lying cheating. Musk must go.

While I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment. The fact that a company purports itself to be an environmental paragon while being exactly the opposite is more than a little ridicule worthy.

It would be like finding out that Revlon has been deliberately using beauty products to poison women or Fischer Price makes toys out of aborted fetuses.

I haven't felt Schadenfreude this good since I heard about 'The Body Shop' getting hit with a massive fine for dumping sludge into the water in New Jersey.
