A music festival was held in Kabul on Monday to denounce violence and give hope to those suffering because of the ongoing war and violence in the country.
The festival included songs, flying of pigeons, the symbolic burial of bullets and the taking of photos.
Some participants said the people of Afghanistan were tired of the bloodshed and wanted the warring sides and the insurgents to stop killing the people. The festival was held under the motto “The Darkness of War and the Whiteness of Peace”
The gathering was attended by famous writers and youths.
Organizers of the event said that they held the festival to support the Afghan security forces and to denounce war and violence.
“This program is aimed at condemning suicide attacks and terrorism and to support the security forces and promote peace in the country,” said Barish Sarwari, head of Memory Makers Organization.

That is pretty cool. You know what's not cool? Not providing a list of the writers or musicians.
