Multiculturalism is a failure

Multiculturalism is under attack in many countries today....because it simply is not working....here in America we too need to re-affirm the "melting pot"....

Britain's Prime Minister Cameron: "under the doctrine of state multiculturalism, we have encouraged different cultures to live separate lives, apart from each other and the mainstream." This had resulted in a lack of national identity in Britain, which had made some Muslims turn to extremist ideology, he said.

Germany's Merkel, who like her French and British counterparts is centre-right, said in October that efforts toward multiculturalism in her country had "failed, totally."

Time to change tune on official multiculturalism

Multiculturalism as official state policy proposes all cultures are equal. But there has to be some independent or objective standard for measure in offering such proposition.

Proponents of multiculturalism do not use an objective standard as the basis by which they judge or rank cultures, and conclude all cultures are equal.

If the culture of liberal democracy — that is, a culture based on individual rights and freedoms, equality of sexes, equality before the rule of law, etc. — is taken as an independent measure, it would be then false to conclude that while other cultures might not be liberal, nor democratic, they are all equal irrespective of different values they hold.

The entire edifice of multiculturalism is, hence, based on a lie. For we know from history and experience that all cultures are not equal, and if it were so, then the culture of Islam in North Africa, for example, would be on par with the culture of Europe across the Mediterranean.

How would you like it if Christians in the U.S. suddenly demanded that our school system accomodated Christians by allowing separate prayer rooms, Christmas caroling and celebrations, special courses in Christianity, Bible readings, prayer before games, health classes promoting anti-abortion, sexual abstinence, anti-homosexual behavior, etc., etc.....?

Then be so glad you live here we are can deal with all of the challenges! Don't move to Canada! The Muslims in our town are business folks, one sits on the school board, a woman on the city commission, five play on the football team. more than a half dozen in the school band, two are cheerleaders, and girls wear head scarves with their Muslim friends once a year in girl solidarity (and, one confided to me, to make a 'fashion statement'). Don't be afraid of the dark as the light of America shines so brightly.

Our Christians are perfectly happy with pulling their children out of classes that don't kowtow to their belief system. See Sex Ed and Biology, for starters. Coming from a country where our culture was vigorously decimated by invading forces and cherished with our arrival in America, multi-culturalism is about celebrating each others holidays and respecting each others crazy-ass beliefs in different supernatural entities that give our marching orders, in order to get along and join the main American culture that embraces a fluid society that rewards merit instead of your birth position. Sharia law in America is only binding in a voluntary sense, just like church laws about re-marriage or birth control. No church in the States can use the state to enforce their edicts.
