MSNBC ratings now officially laughable!!!!!

Democrats would be wise to stay away from msnbc and go with what is popular...
-Minimum wage
-Science
-Infrastructure
-R&d investment
-Education
- law enforcement
-legalizion of pot

Most of these get 55-60% of the popular vote when they're up on a ballot.

Identity politics is going to hurt the democrats very badly if they don't stay away from it.

-Spending
-More Spending
-Yet More Spending
-Investment in Spending
-Spending on Investment in Future Spending
- You Guessed It: Spending
-legalizion [sic] of pot

Most of these get 55-60% of the popular vote when they're up on a ballot.

There seems to be a common theme in all of those. :eusa_think:

Top story on DRUDGE this morning!!! Ratings beyond low and lowest in 10 years!!!:oops-28:

Who couldnt see this coming.....:fu:.....this media outlet is now viewed as a version of the supermarket tabloid, "The Sun"!!:2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

That's funny, since the Sun is a Rupert Murdoch rag. It's exactly how he made his fortune before bringing us the TV version, Fox Noise.

What do you care what a TV outlet's ratings are? Do you buy or sell commercial time? For that matter, why does Drudge care?

You gotta give the MSNBC suits credit for their skills in making progress towards their goal of achieving broadcasting insignificance. Sure hope they were smart enough to have bonus clauses tied to performance in their contracts.

Because it shows what happens when you become a biased mouthpiece for the politicians. Once the people have figured out that you don't report accurately (and as has been shown on a couple of occasions, made things up) they stop watching you.

I don't know why you republicans keep trying to report on how much liberals ignore propoganda. Coincidentally, Fox News rules, showing the world how susceptible you all are to propoganda yourselves.

They are tanking on purpose. You will see a huge change in MSNBC programming after the elections.

Uh, this just in son -- "reporting accurately" -- or inaccurately --- is not what sells eyeballs. At all. Never has been. You armchair media critics who think audience ratings have something to do with some sort of "agree/disagree" vote are completely in the dark.

Audiences are built by emotional hooks. Conflict, drama, morality plays. That's why WWE has any viewers at all. That's why onstage paternity tests and camera crews following people around in secret and naked people walking around on an island all exist. It has nothing to do with what the content actually IS.

Nobody in the world makes a profit from news. It's not possible. So you dress it up in gory costumes, you stretch, you imply, you suggest around the news, and that's how you build audience -- by selling Fear. If the pseudonews outlet in question is sagging in the ratings, then what that means is it's not doing a great job of selling Fear.

I don't watch any MSM anymore. They all suck. It's just amusing that you, who claim to be so pure, are trying to defend the indefensible.

Cronkite and Huntley-Brinkley and all those guys were heavily subsidized by their Gilligan's Islands and Beverly Hillbillieses. It ALWAYS worked that way. News is a loss leader -- it's expensive to do. The only reason TV networks did it at all was to look good for the FCC.

Whaaa? It's OK to lie when your network is losing money? Talk about circuitous logic:cuckoo:

Talk about making things up... nobody said squat about "lying when losing money".

"Lying" would be completely irrelevant to ratings anyway. Fake wrestling is a lie -- doesn't stop it from having an audience, does it?
