That observation is consistent with contemporary American thought, it is obvious on all sides of all fences. The president is raised to the status of Gawd and then when miracles happen slowly the dream suddenly seems less possible. Consider any item, should he have swum down and plugged the gulf leak? Should he have armed up and destroyed terrorism? It demonstrates to me how weak America is becoming when you look to saviors and not to ourselves and each other to work through and manage things. Obama is just one man, so far his decisions are basically OK with me, although I wish he'd tell the republicans where to go.

Plenty of Liberals think that Obama isn't Liberal enough. That's what he is criticized for most by those on the Left.

You expected Bush to stop an act of God, a hurricane to be exact, and to go save all the black citizens of New Orleans....and I imagine all the storm victims of the entire Gulf Coast by extension....
and because that miracle didn't happen he is still getting bashed for it to this day....at least by the assholes in the country anyway...:cuckoo:
