Glenn Beck said today that his "Restoring Honor" rally attracted "a minimum of 500,000 people" and complained that news outlets, including CBS News, badly underestimated the number of people who showed up for the event.


"We'll never know the exact number, but anyone with eyes can see this number was in the hundreds of thousands," Beck said on his Fox News show.


CBS News commissioned the company AirPhotosLive.com to estimate the size of the rally. Using aerial pictures taken at what it deemed the height of the rally, AirPhotosLive.com said 87,000 people attended the event. The margin of error offered by AirPhotosLive.com was plus or minus 9,000 people.

I am not sure MSNBC edited it as much as created an impression by incorrectly captioning it.


I listened closely and carefully to the CSPAN link and simply found it hard to understand the chant with all the noise. I'm trying to reload it to be sure but it's taking longer to load this time. I was able to skip to the right part of the tape before but now it looks like it's gonna make me listen to 27 minutes and not skip.

So just going on memory ... what I remember from listening to it a few minutes ago is three words starting with R, all unclear. The first word sounding slightly closer to Romney than Ryan. The 2nd sounding sort of like Ryan. The third sounding closer to Romney again.

But all unclear.


Which is of course a good reason to not take the word of the people who were there. /sarcasm

You folks need to produce ONE or preferably TWO witnesses on the ground at that airport rally who will attest to the facts AS YOU DESPARATELY WANT TO BELIEVE THEM..

You haven't done that. And because you are keeping this story alive --- MSNBC will have to eventually fess up to this serious breach of ethics.
When they do --- you will be left sucking air and maybe settling for Wolf Blitzer..

Then at 27:00 minutes into the rally -- the hand-off occurs and Romney cuts the audience off after only 2 or 3 weak cheers and SUGGESTS they include some love for Ryan.

Produce some evidence or be a tool ---- your choice.. Keep this tempest in a teapot going --- and you may bring your primary source of propaganda to it's knees and send poor Rachael back to blogging, and have NBC execs begging for public forgiveness. Your choice.......

At 27:25, the crowd is chanting "Romney! Romney!" Romney then interjects it should be "Romney-Ryan!" -- and the crowd chants that.

If MSDNC's horseshit was correct and that the crowd wasn't excited about Romney, why were they chanting "Romney!" at 26:00?
