Little has changed to prevent another financial crisis or to end 'Too Big To Fail,' and with Congress unwilling to act, we are encouraging individuals to take power into their own hands by voting with their dollars and no longer contributing to a financial system that has led our country astray.

We are a campaign that gives people real, concrete actions they can take to create a more sane, stable and localized banking system.

Maybe some of you are too young to know or remember, but bank fees used to be the norm back in the day. If we returned to responsible banking, sane lending, and regulation of derivatives, I would happily accept the return of bank fees.

Here's my take on my local credit union, which i've banked with for over 4 years now

POSITIVE: low fees
$3 fee for an overdraft transfer from savings to checking, free checking, etc.

NEGATIVE: imbeciles
Its amateur hour.


For me its worth it to deal with amateurs to not get raped up the butt by fees, though.

We moved much of our money in time and bought in real estate once it started slipping. Commercial and private property in downtown Salt Lake City and Denver have offered some very nice opportunities.

Government control of Fannie Mae seems to have worked fine for me, they bought our loan almost as soon as the bank made it to us.
