A 15-YEAR-old Brisbane school girl was suspended for shaving her head to raise money for vital cancer research.

Emily Pridham and her family told Channel Nine News her father is battling leukemia.

He underwent a bone marrow transplant a few weeks ago but has been given only a few months to live.

Ms Pridham decided to shave her head as part of a fundraiser for cancer research.

Ms Pridham said she has been banned from Mount Alvernia College until her hair grows back.

Mount Alvernia College released a statement to Channel Nine News that said Ms Pridham had breached the college's uniform guidelines and had been suspended because of "ongoing issues."

Mount Alvernia College = Hypocrites and to a extent scumbags. Gee, maybe they should ask themselves what Jesus would do. He'd probably shave his head instead of banning the poor girl.

this decision and news article was a one sided story and the people should know that there is more to this than what has been said.
emily has been a problem at mta for a long time the school has tryd there best to help her and her family for three years.
everyone has watched her disturbe the school day after day.
On friday she told her home room teacher whom is a lovely teacher, "to F' off and to jump off a bridge in the afternoon. On monday she turned up to school with her hair shaved after the teachers asked her no to and she was sent home because of what she did friday and ALSO because the school had asked her to shave her head on the "shave for a cure day" or to wait until 2 weeks for the last day of school.
she did not listen which is why this is happening.
i want everyone to know that mta has fully supports shave for a cure and we raise alot of money each year.. so dont believe everything you hear. this had got out of hand..
