Despite maintaining her dominance in the Democratic presidential nominee field, more people have an unfavorable view of Hillary Clinton now than at any time since 2001, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.
Fifty-seven percent say the former secretary of state is not honest and trustworthy — up from 49 percent in March. Less than half feel she cares about people like them — 47 percent, down from 53 percent in July 2014 — and 50 percent now feel she does not inspire confidence, up from 42 percent in March 2014.
The poll also shows how voters feel toward some major issues that have been following Clinton on the campaign trail, such as her use of a private email server during her time with the State Department and her response to the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attacks.
Fifty-eight percent of Americans are not satisfied with how Clinton handle the Benghazi attacks, compared to 38 percent who are satisfied. The gap between not satisfied and satisfied has grown from a 12-percent gap last year to a 20-percent gap now.
