Most people don't even know what a "Public Option" is.

Horsehit. (sic)

If we had national health insurance it would save us a ton of money.

Every other industrialized country in the world has national health insurance, and they pay HALF per capita what we pay for healthcare. Why? Because there are inherent cost savings in a single payer system.
And nobody spreads the horse shit better than you.

Medicare now costs ten times what it was projected to cost, even factoring in inflation....Some savings.

Medicare is not national health insurance.

Do a little research on the French system.

It is much better than ours and cheaper.

France Fights Universal Care's High Cost - WSJ.com

France claims it long ago achieved much of what today's U.S. health-care overhaul is seeking: It covers everyone, and provides what supporters say is high-quality care. But soaring costs are pushing the system into crisis. The result: As Congress fights over whether America should be more like France, the French government is trying to borrow U.S. tactics.

thanks to reagan, SS surpluses have been raided.
OASI was raided to pay for silly social programs way before Reagan came onto the scene.

Moreover, it's completely disingenuous to entirely blame any prez, when it's congress that writes up the spending bills.

Horseshit.

The Congress pasted Reagan's budget with support from all the Republicans and the Dixiecrats.

Nice try, though.

Wow, perhaps this is part of the problem:

In a poll done by the AARP, only 37% of respondents actually knew what a "public option" was:

pubopt2.PNG

I know exactly what it is, it will eventually lead to a government take over of 6% of our economy, costs trillions of dollars in new taxes, of which you will pay for and pay dearly, it will lead to rationing and deminish the quality of care in this country. :cuckoo::cuckoo:

No matter how you try to spin this, it's not a good deal not for anyone.

Horsehit.

Oh yes, they have health care and a gallon of gasoline costs over $8 in Italy to pay for it, then they get to stand in line when they get sick, hopefully they can get into see a doctor before they die. They also call an unemployment rate of 10-15% good. That's your nationalized health care Chris. Not quite the panacea you would like all of us to believe.

BTW- many of those countries are attempting to turn it back over to a private system because their governments can not control the costs and it's bankrupting them. Canada is going to return health care to the private sector and is in the process of doing that in some of their districts.

The government resume.

Social security - bankrupt
medicare- bankrupt
medicaid- bankrupt
postal service- bankrupt
freddie and fannie- bankrupt

Now you want to turn over another 6% of our economy to people who have a resume that looks like that? No thank you.

Should this pass- which it won't

You will see a health care system that has the compassion of the IRS, the efficiency of the Postal service and will look like the aftermath of Katrina.

Typical barking moonbat rebuts a claim by saying the source is biased but offers absolutely no proof to support his assertions.

No need to deny false assertions or respond to silly insults.

The French healthcare system is rated as one of the best in the world.

Do a little reading outside the right wing media.

did you miss the part where the insurer has been in the red for 20 years? The 15 billion was only the deficit in one of those years.

We're looking at a trillion dollar price tag just to get started and the government has already proven that it can't manage social programs.

Medicare is unfunded to the tune of 30 trillion dollars or so; social security is bankrupt but yeah let's have the government run more programs that will do nothing but cost us more money.

i don't know about you (well I do) but I do not want 60 or 70% of my paycheck eaten up by the government and that is where we are headed.
