Jesus was a Liberal

The Romans who crucified him were Republicans

The reason it's difficult to name "conservatives" that excel is understandable. Conservatives are about maintaining the status quo. About keeping things safe, unchanging, secure. They look back. Static is NOT really a direction. This is the reason conservatives have a difficult time explaining what "direction" they want to take the country. No one really likes "Back". Unless it starts off with "Baby got".

Conservatives have to have done SOMETHING for this country...

Why else would we keep them around?

The socialist do-gooders always do.

Odd thing is that I've been asking, for years now, them to point out where in scripture Jesus told his followers to force their neighbor to help the poor, and not one citation has been offered up.

No one said they haven't contributed. They breed. They make new bodies for cannon fodder. They do manual labor. They give us a market for beer. And they are endlessly entertaining.

You just have to keep an eye on them because they are also violent and dangerous to certain minorities and susceptible to inflammatory rhetoric.

And they take orders well and are very well behaved.

If you call Jefferson a Modern-Day Liberal he'd laugh right at you and walk away.

Read more about Jefferson, you'll find out your very wrong.

Now Madison on the other hand, he is what you can call a Modern Day Liberal.

All the founding fathers were quite liberal for their day. The torries were loyal to the crown and were the Conservatives of the late 1700s. You don't get more liberal than equal voting rights and one man one vote

"Liberal" back then meant nearly 180° opposite what it means to today's Fabian socialist progressive fake "liberals".

But you already knew that.

And they take orders well and are very well behaved.

Except at town hall meetings and in congress.

Jesus advocated for personal responsibility, submission to the authority of God and for moral restraint.

He was a conservative.

"Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

"Love your neighbor as yourself."

"Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

Hearken to the word; understand knowledge; love life, and no one will persecute you, nor will anyone oppress you, other than you yourselves.

Jesus

So you would be one of the neighbors? If you are a Christian, you shouldnt be forced to help out someone in need, you should do it out of the Christian goodness in your heart.

WOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHH.

That was the sound of the point going over yer head.

Liberal is liberal and depends on your time.

It is a challenging of existing ideas and a desire to change the way things are done.

Conservatives of the day supported King George. No other way to look at it.

.

What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then ... we are not that kind of "Liberal." But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."
