More then 90 million people in United states family 4 living on less 21,000 a year

Once we look back we may realize that Obama did not play a significant part in the process.
Granted, he is only the latest in a long string of government-expansionists.

Still, his keystone legislation promises to be the largest and most growth-inhibiting the US has ever seen. This is undeniable, even the Congressional Budget Office admits this.

That is so very true. Time after time, the Obamanation get their panties in a wad and whine that it's not Obama's fault. That is true, it is not completely his fault. He is, as you say, just one in a long line of failures in our political system. And not just Presidents. We need to stop electing self serving, corrupt assholes who put their own interests above the good of the nation. And when I say the nation - I mean all of us, not business, not communities, not blacks or whites, not rich or poor, or any other special interest, not liberals or conservatives but all of us.

Govt jobs have good benefits and pay higher than average ones.

Who pays for those good benefits and higher than average pay? There are already many more public sector union workers than private sector union workers, you don't see a problem there? At what percentage of total workforce does the public sector employment numbers alone make the private sector break?

For many it seems this would be a good thing. Tell me again how this administration and the thinking behind it is not socialistic at best?

So? America faces large numbers of unemployed like many countries. Also, America faces issues and conundrums about how best to create employment- jobs! I find it interesting how Ms Kaptur's speech talks about the poor. Who are these poor people - the face of unemployment? Without giving them a face then any policy is bound to be mis-aimed.

I smiled when I heard about the open heartedness of the American people in giving aid to Haiti. It's great this happened, however, how to better take care of your own.

It comes down to recognizing that the person on the street pays the greater price, while the corporate and business sectors the less. How else when most government know where the money comes from - business? Unemployment is to do with job creation and the business sector need to buckle under and employ. Continuing government spending in this way, Keynesian economics, does not provide adequate solution.

Back to your beginning, 'So?' What?

The "war" has been from the Republicans on the "middle class".

Listen to Republicans plan for health care - "tax credits". Yea, give a tax credit to these poor people and they will use it to buy health insurance - Oh yea, sure they would.

Why do Republcians hate the "middle class"? The "middle class" is the "real base" of the US.

How is a healthcare tax credit a war on the middle class?

Big government is destroying the lower & middle class. Big government only favors government employees & the rich. Under the Obama government expansion the average government employees now get paid 35% more than private sector employees. Also the rich have increased their wealth & bonuses under Obama.

What is destroying the Middle Class is the enormous tax cuts for the rich and moving jobs overseas to countries who have a public option so companies don't have to pay for health care.

Unable to explain how Republican tax cuts are destroying the middle class, rdean-tard offers up another cup of Obama Kool-aid laced with public option health care.

Hyenas also laugh, they laugh hardest. I hate to have to explain something so simple. When you give tax cuts to the rich, the cost burden moves to the middle class. You don't really think you can have two wars and cut a trillion dollars in taxes for the very rich? Do you? Well, do you?

Well?

Well?

Thought so.

most of the middle class do not pay much, if anything, in income taxes...as well as over 60% of tax payers in the usa, only use the IRS short form and can not take any tax write offs....this measure is for the wealthiest, or perhaps the upper middle class....for the most part.

oh, and bulloney with '''under the obama gvt expansion....gvt employees paid 35% more than private sector'' CRAP....because it's just that, partisan crap....no one in gvt, under obama got a cost of living raise...no one....IF THEY MAKE 35% more, you can be darn certain this came from previous administrations/previous congress's actions, for the most part!, and not by your favored donkey to pin the tail on!

The claim of "90 million" is outrageous and unsupportable. Her use of words are confusing and garmmatically incorrect. The woman, although a Democrat, suffers from PMS and appears quite hysterical at times.

California Girl said it the best.

The problem is that the government is in the way of job creation.

If they would get out of the fucking way by confiscating less money, and reducing burdensome regulations we would have a lot more jobs.

Umm I dont think we have re-regulated anything yet. So why did not the de-regulations work? Or why did they quit working?
De-regulation is a myth.

The Financial Sector remains the most heavily regulated industry in the US, and there are multiple government agencies which regulate the sector:

SEC
CFTC
NCUA
FDIC
FTC
The Fed
Office of Thrift Supervision
Office of the Comptroller of the Currency

Your question should be, "Why did these multiple agencies fail to see and prevent this crash?" That's another thread...
Because the same gubmint that can't keep cocaine off the streets also can't manage any markets.

rdean gets lost when the discussion does not follow the talking points. He drank all the Obama Kool-Aid laced with stupid. He starts sounding like Obama when the teleprompter goes blank. Uh uh uh uh uh uh. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThEAO0lt4Dw"]UH[/ame]

90 Million is an awful lot of people/family units that live on $21k....though my husband and I live on a little less than that amount, now that we own our home and do not have a mortgage payment...(we own our cars as well, so we don't have those payments either, thus the position to live on less than the normal Joe family)

Gosh, 90 million is a pretty dismal and scary figure....I don't see it getting any better either, not for another year or 2, IF ALL GOES well!

The middle class doesn't pay anything in income tax. How is a debate possible if you're going to say something so obviously wrong?

i consider the middle class the 2nd quin-tile in full and perhaps the 3rd as well....

most of the lower middle and mid middle class pay 0-10% of their gross earned income in, income taxes and do not have enough long form deductions that they can take, because they do not exceed the standard deduction given to them....thus the 60% of americans not ever filing the LONG form, where tax breaks, tax deductions are given and taken.

Nonsense....ALL small businesses and 1099 contractors have to file the long form, if not quarterly.
