So Hunter Biden followed his dad around to Romania, too?

****************
It seems like wherever VP Biden went, his son was sure to follow. Now Hunter is in Romania. Why was a mediocre lawyer from the US suddenly so in demand all over the world, to assist in areas of expertise for which he was not qualified and had no previous experience?

What exactly does someone who sits on the board of directors for Amtrak, like Hunter Biden, do, that makes them singularly qualified for these sweet, high paying gigs all over the world?

Hunter Biden's legal work in Romania raises new questions about his overseas dealings

In the final year of the Obama administration, an American lawyer traveled to Romania to meet with a businessman accused of orchestrating a corrupt land deal.

The businessman was Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, a wealthy Romanian real estate tycoon. The lawyer brought in to advise him was Hunter Biden, the son of then-Vice President Joe Biden, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Hunter Biden’s work for Popoviciu in 2016 went unreported at the time, but Joe Biden’s involvement in Romania was very much public. The vice president was among the leading voices pushing the government to crack down on corruption.

a lot of the these Democrat corruption crimes are just the tip of the iceberg

We can lock up every Biden in this country and their dogs and cats. How does that get Trump off the hook for using his office and taxpayer money to shake down another country with the goal of interfering with our elections? The Bidens aren`t relevant to what`s going on.

How is asking to keep us informed of their ongoing investigation, considered a shakedown?

The problem is, Ukraine was already investigating Hunter Biden's company for possible corruption, and looking into 2016 election corruption, before trump was president.

The problem with people like you making such a big deal out of this, is that you know there is a very real possibility that corruption by the Biden's will be uncovered if the Ukraine tells our DOJ what they uncover in their investigations, into both the 2016 election interference, and Joe Biden's blackmailing of Ukraine.

I read an article written at the time, where they cited one of Hunter's qualifications, is that he was a passenger a lot on Amtrak trains. It supposedly gave him unique insight into the company. What a joke. there is a whole Senate speech praising his awesome train riding prowess.

Hunter Biden’s One Qualification for Amtrak Board Was Taking Trains

Once you understand why Hunter got his seat on Amtrak's board of directors, you understand how ridiculous it was for him to cite his train riding prowess, as one of his qualifications to sit on the board of directors at Burisma, in Ukraine.

2 completely different issues. Biden's corruption is Biden's corruption.

Whining about Trump doesn't change that.

He is an attorney, same a Giuliani.

The president's daughter Ivanka Trump, for instance, pulled in almost $4 million in revenue last year from her stake in the family hotel near the White House.

from the OP.

Interesting:
Popoviciu was convicted in 2016 but launched an appeal. He assembled a high profile legal team to fight the conviction, which included former FBI director Louis Freeh … Freeh continued working on behalf of Popoviciu [after his appeal failed]. Last year, he tapped Giuliani, his longtime friend, to assist in his Romanian work.

Giuliani’s hiring created what appears in hindsight a strange-bedfellows arrangement. Giuliani, who has been the loudest critic of Hunter Biden’s work in the Ukraine, was working on the same side as the younger Biden in Romania.

In August 2018, Giuliani wrote a letter to Romania’s president and prime minister criticizing the country’s recent efforts to rein in corruption as overly aggressive. Giuliani’s position contradicted the U.S. stance on anti-corruption efforts in Romania.

I’m starting to think that Team Trump’s avowed concerns with corruption in Eastern Europe may not be entirely on the level.
Rudy and Hunter Biden Both Worked for the Same Romanian Kleptocrat

Isn't the media and Democrat mantra that where there is smoke, there is fire and if you don't have anything to hide you should just sit back and let it play out?

Different corruption. Different investigation. Do try and keep up and evict Trump from living in your brain full time.

Whining about Trump doesn't change that.
Whining about all things Trump is all they have.

Well, that, and leaping to conspiracy "what if" theories, based on their biased opinions and assumptions about what they think Trump might have done.

Sadly, most of the time they turn out to be accusing Trump of doing, what Democrats have been documented to have already done.

He's not a criminal defense attorney. Besides, don't they have any lawyers in the entire country? They had to go all the way to the US to hire a lawyer, who didn't even have experience as a criminal defense lawyer?

Come on, we all know why Hunter was hired, for his prowess riding Amtrak trains.

So since your blob doesn’t think he did anything wrong, we should have him calling the leader of Romania tomorrow and squeezing them to investigate, right?

It has already been said in this thread. The corruption of Joe Biden is a separate issue of what you are accusing the president of. It is pretty clear nothing was wrong with the phone call, and it is the presidents job to investigate corruption by countries we are in contact with. He absolutely has the right to use Guillliani instead of a corrupt state department. If Trump commits an actual crime, he should pay for it, don't you think Joe Biden should have the same standard? Why do you think the media is fine with verifiable corruption by a former Vice President?
