So it appears that Chris Christie has an all time high approval rating of 72%, in liberal New Jersey. Most attributed it to his proper and non-partisan handling of the whole Sandy ordeal.

Chris Christie Approval Rating Hits 72 Percent

Considering that pre election the American public thought that the USA was headed in the "wrong direction" and still voted for Obama, gave the Dems more seats in the senate, and more voted for Dem house critters (51.3%), it is pretty obvious that most of America is completely turned off by partisan GOPers.

More and more Americans are stepping farther and farther away from the hard religio-rhetoric of the right on the issue of abortion. Illustrated here in the recent Gallup poll:

The question is:

Should the GOP continue on it's partisan parade? Even though it has been proven (above and in many other circumstances) that their approach to democracy is not favorable amongst Americans as a whole?

Chris Christie illustrates that the non-partisan (works TOGETHER), but still hard ass, approach wins approval and votes even with the odds stacked.

You do realize your graph shows basically a flatline trend on the issue?

And I find it comical progressives are patting Christie on the back when 2 months ago he was the devil incarnate, and a fat one at that.

Chrisite's approval jump is due to the way he handled the Storm crisis. Maybe 1-2 points are because he made nice with Obama.

The divisions in the nation are getting deeper and wider. Of course republicans are despised. Democrats are despised too. The break has reached bedrock. It is at the point that ends friendships and destroys families. The divison goes way further than politics. It is at an individual level.

I wonder if Christie took the pledge ( 0 tax hikes) that these other asshole republican's are willing to bring down America with. He probably did , but cares more about human life and his community than money.

WTF are you talking about? Your chart shows the majority think abortion should be limited. Wow you don't even read your own propaganda.

Yup. Its all about the way he handled the Sandy crisis.

Wait a few weeks when things are back to normal and look at his approval rating them. He'll be the fat devil incarnate once again.
