First, Hillary Clinton quoted Charleston, SC as where the new multi-billion dollar order from the US gov't planes will be built at the new Boeing plant in North Charleston, SC.

Now China announces they are buying $10 BILLION dollars worth of planes from Boeing.

Why? Non-union, low tax SC has enabled Boeing to give a great price for these planes.

Which means even more high paying jobs in Charleston and surrounding areas.

Sorry folks. The Southern states are out front in the hunt for future business with low tax, non-union labor. Thousands of SC residents are gonna bank these jobs for years to come. Seattle lost out. Soon all left wing cities and states will have to adapt or suffer.

For Boeing, the payoff from the line in South Carolina is significant. Workers at an existing plant Boeing operates there average $15 an hour, vs. the $26 or so earned by unionized workers at Boeing's assembly lines in Everett and Renton, Wash. Says a Boeing vice-president, Doug Kight: "We are at the top of the market in wages, pension, and health care."

Yep. And somewhere out there are 6-10,000 Charleston residents with a good job and some stability..............while 10,000 would be union employees in Seattle are whining over their coffee about evil corporations.

However, let's be honest. Boeing has the backlog. The orders are in house. By opening a plant in SC, all they did was reduce their costs. Had they not made this decision, jobs would have been created at one of their WA plants to help fill the orders.

where did you get that quote from VaYank?

Did it designate who was surveyed for the average wage? For example, in a non unioin plant, those "averages" include clerical workers that earn 10 an hour whereas in a union shop it ONLY includes the union workers...
