What does it matter if school starts at 9 instead of 8 in the grand scheme of things?

Nothing except make it harder to get kids off to school in the morning and leave for work on time themselves.
Nothing except allow kids to stay up later robbing parents of more time to relax by themselves in the evening after a long day's work.
And nothing except make the kids come home an hour later in the afternoon closer to rush hour and work traffic now having to change dinner and everything else tying up more of the parents evening.

This from the same crowd that cries, whines and moans that parents have no control over their kids...wahh wahhh wahhhh. It's not like they're starting school at 10 AM. It's a perfectly reasonable time to start the day rather than the crack of dawn, it's research based for best learning, and it's up to parents to tell their kids to go to bed.

But I understand that very confused conservatives will now expect the schools to make robo-calls reminding parents what time bedtime is too. Because why not?
