Kyle Williams Guilty of Murdering Lakeland Police Officer Arnulfo Crispin

BARTOW | Kyle Williams was convicted this afternoon of the murder of Lakeland police Officer Arnulfo Crispin in December 2011.

After deliberating for 15 hours and 50 minutes, the Circuit Court jury delivered the guilty verdict to first-degree murder.

The penalty phase begins Monday. Williams faces either the death penalty or life in prison.

Some jurors were crying as the verdict was delivered in Circuit Judge Donald Jacobsen.

To the turd above who said the cop looks like a smart ass..........how? He looks no different than the millions of young men who posed for similar photos in a military uniform. He looks like a well groomed professional young man who took an oath to serve his country....yes, his country....by patrolling a piece of US soil and answering the call for help from strangers. Every piece of soil in the US is being guarded right now by someone in uniform.

According to www.odmp.org, line of duty deaths are up, again, this year. Trend has been going up for a decade.

Death by gunfire is up 42% from last year...and its only August. No wonder cops are tired of "hugging it out".
