More Heights of Public Education

Again, it is safe to say that most people in the United States are educated in the public school system.

I knew where Iran was in 4th grade. But then, I didn't go to public schools.

Also, I did not forget where Iran was over the ensuing 58 years.

Good for you. Here's a sticker.

So, according to your reasoning, everyone who couldn't find Iran on a map went to public schools?

Literally everyone? No. In the main. Yes.

Prove it.

No need. Merely logic and common sense.

Logic is exactly what you’re lacking.

The U.S. Department of Education projects that in 2021, private schools will enroll about 9 percent of preK-12 students, while public schools will enroll 91 percent.

I am not kidding: Probably many American children cannot locate Mexico, either! In fact, how many could locate the state they live in?

You fail logic again.

Where does it say anything about public education there?

Most Americans are "educated" in the public system.
All of the teachers have to jump in and instead of doing the right thing and admitting public education needs fixing they jump in defending the pathetic education they give.
Which proves my point that most teachers should not be teaching.

Conclusions based on assumption.
False causal relationships.

Phrt. Half of them couldn't find America on a map.

That video is hard to watch. Sadly this is the norm. Here is a little discussed problem that is largely the fault of our educational system:

"However, a study reported by the New York Times entitled “Half of the Adults in the U.S. Can’t Read” revealed a growing “marginal illiteracy” problem, where 50% of Americans – “nearly half of the nation’s 191 million adult citizens are not proficient enough in English to write a letter” and have difficulty in “practical matters that people face every day.” They have difficulty with reading comprehension, filling out documents, understanding and summarizing facts in an article or writing a paragraph summarizing information. And our youth are in as much trouble, as almost all high school students in the United States do not graduate with a reading proficiency above a 5th-grade reading level. Combined, the studies show nearly 200 million Americans are illiterate or marginally illiterate, and the real number could be even higher."

91% to 9% is hardly an assumption.

Does your poll include the educational background of each respondent? Age? Time out of school? Career?

Not necessary.

That is why you fail at logic, dummy.
