80 year guy shoots and kills armed robber... the catch is that he lives in chicago where guns are banned (currently in front of the supreme court)... will chicago police arrest him? isn't this exactly why guns are good for self defense?

Maybe Chicago will negate the need for the lawsuit against them by accepting the FBI's (and other) statistical evidence showing a major violent crime decrease in states and localities that have enacted "shall issue" or similar laws and a corresponding increase in violent crimes in areas with the most restrictive gun laws.
The ones most positively affected by the drop in violent crime are women who's numbers of concealed carry permit applications and issuance's have skyrocketed in the last decade.
Uummmm, go figure.
