This goes to Justice Scalia's dissent when he said "each decision...unabashedly not based on law the court moves one step closer to being reminded of it's impotence".

Pound Sand, Your Honor! More Americans Want States to Ignore Federal Courts

While dissenting from the recent Supreme Court decision rubber-stamping same-sex “marriage,” Justice Antonin Scalia warned his colleagues that with “each decision ... unabashedly based not on law” the Court moves “one step closer to being reminded of [its] impotence.” And a new poll shows that another such step has in fact been taken, with more Americans supporting the idea that states should have the right to ignore federal court rulings. WritesRasmussen Reports, “A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 33% of Likely U.S. Voters now believe that states should have the right to ignore federal court rulings if their elected officials [dis]agree with them. That’s up nine points from 24% when we first asked this question in February.Just over half (52%) disagree, down from 58% in the earlier survey. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided.”

This shift is clearly influenced not just by Obergefell v. Hodges (the marriage ruling), but also a late June ObamaCare decision so contrary to the “Affordable Care Act’s” text that Justice Scalia lamented to the Court, “Words no longer have meaning.” Not surprisingly, there was an ideological divide among poll respondents.

Most Americans are as dumb as dog shit so it matters little either way. Just more reactionary faggot-hating infants having a temper tantrum.

Paint By Numbers missed the ACA ruling is mentioned. Of course Paint By Numbers is obsessed with gay butt sex.

Correction. More Republicans want states to ignore the federal government. Don't you find it odd that over the last few years Republicans have become more and more anarchist? Anti American?

This is a liberal nation. If you aren't a liberal then you are an American in name only.

Most Americans?

You are delusional. You are not an American you are a christianist and give your loyalty to a religion and not the laws of this land but to a mythical book

You even debase the American flag with your AVI

Criminals always ignore the law and then act surprised when they're caught and punished.

RWs are so dumb. They whine about what victims they are, whine that they want to secede but they never consider what would happen if they really did do away with the federal govt.

Read some of the comments at the link. These are NOT intelligent people. They're like the OP - knee jerk reactionary ignorance.

The American citizenry has given up and lost their collective power. Our government has become an absolute ruler, an entity unto itself, answerable to no one except itself. In the hearts, minds, and eyes of the government, we're looked at and considered as merely a source of votes and tax revenue, period, nothing more. Over the past half century plus, we've allowed the government to gain strength and power, while we've become weak and a mere whisper in the wind. Once elected to office, politicians exert their will, and not the will of the people. We've turned this once great nation over to the wealthy, the powerful, and to the influential. The voice of the people has been basically silenced by voters continually electing and re-electing professional politicians to serve in government.

The guiding principles and creed used by professional politicians are based on self-service, egos, greed, power, influence, and climbing the political ladder at all cost. The well-being of this once great nation and her citizens, has fallen well down the political priority list of legislation and policies. In today's government, legislation and policy is bought and sold like a commodity on the Chicago Exchange. Even the U.S. Supreme Court is heavily influenced by those of wealth and power. In summary, the U.S. government has become too powerful, too controlling, and too anti-America.

Translation: More Americans are one-issue retards.

Ok great, your home state ignores the gay marriage thing setting the precedent for doing that. Now someone brings up interracial marriage, school segregation, and the like. Where's your justification to resist their demand they be re-implemented? Don't have to follow federal law anymore.

"The worst thing about living outside the law is you lose the protection of it." - Truman Capote

The queers are a minority, look what they have done. Of course with moon bat left loons jumping on the bandwagon it made their job easier

Yea, look what they have done. They have gained equal rights and protection under the law. A law that you and I have had since birth. And you and I are required to give up absolutely nothing.

The movement away from federalism and towards a much stronger centralized command & control is pretty clear.

Not what I would choose, but that's where we're headed.

.
You've been headed there since we founded the place. One Nation eh?
I was going to ask why we have things like Congress and the Electoral College then, but looking back at prior conversations we've had, would it be fair to say that you would agree that they are superfluous?

Bleh, they made a lousy choice.
