More Affordable Health Care! (Except for the Military)
Probably because the military has had the best and least expensive health care in this country.
Increases in Tricare were recommended by the Simpson/Bowlws deficit panel. I thought you wanted deficit reduction?
Why is it okay to ask Public Employees to pay more, but not the military?
let the public employees go to afghanistan and get their asses shot off. Our military health care should be free.
When I was young, and dad was serving, we just went to the Doctors on Base...do bases not have clinics and Doctors anymore? And the military can only see a doctor off base, thus needing the Tri-care?
actually, I think it's the other way around. My DIL got very sick the other day,, on Tricare prime. Not one private physician would agree to see her. She had to go all the way to the Navy base in Jacksonville.
This story is from sep,. 2011, even though it was just re-released by this so called author for partisan politicing.. The issue was settled and there was no increases.
So only those that serve in theatre should get their promised benefits? What of cops or firefighters?
I think everyone's healthcare should be "free".
They do. Retirees use Tricare and Tricare Prime. I pay less than $600 a year for me and my children (not my LEGAL spouse though).
We can afford an increase, especially if it means keeping other vital services. The military IS about sacrifice after all.
you don't need tricare on base....?
and sorry to hear that about your daughter in law....my parents and my now deceased mother in law have/had tricare, as their supplemental insurance for medicare, I believe it paid the nearly all of the 20% copay on medicare...they have never been denied by any doctor...even before my parents hit Medicare age, never denied....guess Doctors today are not of the same breed that they used to be and greed has somehow gotten in the way of treating people that need help?
my husband loves his VA care, pays for health insurance so that i can get on his work group policy, but has never used it....he chooses to see his Doc at the Va.
what does free mean to you? a money tree growing in the back yard? I think everyone should have all the free stuff they want.. trouble is what does free mean?
