Sorry bout that,

Sorry bout that,

1. I have to say, Ropey you surprise me.
2. Your tradition has no meaning, not sacred, not anything, if it only is, is to out do the Christians, and has no meaning other than that, its sad.
3. Anyway thats just my opinion, if I may I shall be insulted for the Jews then, thanks!
4. For principles sake.

This is nonsense,Jewish folk, wanting to out do Christians!!!!!!!!!!,where are you coming from with all this chesswar, and I'd like to know where you are going with it??????!!!!!!!!theliq:cool: Are you saying that all American Christians today celebrate Christmas for the real reason,we have Christmas,I don't think so in this world of commercialism, suggest you get out there and do a poll.Question to ask the children "What does Christmas mean to you?"I'd be interested to know the result.

1. Ropey explained he was told by his father, Hanukkah was invented to give the Jewish children gifts, like the Christian children, for eight straight days.
2. We give our children gifts one morning, they do it eight mornings, or nights, whatever.
3. Can you see yet?
4. To Christians, the whole gift giving is centered around the fact that when Jesus was born, who in a miracle was born in a stable to a homeless women, Mary, and who just happened to be GOD, and the Three Wise Men, were indeed wise, and sought out Jesus to give *God* gifts, which in itself is astonishing, men giving gifts to *GOD*.
5. And ever since then Christians do well, to give good gifts to their children and each other, for it truly is better to give than to receive, which Jesus spoke of.
6. This tradition of Christian gift giving is so wonderful, and reflects the Three Wise Men, seeking for *GOD*, finding and laying good gifts, at the feet of *GOD*, the baby Jesus.
7. Christmas is a coming together of believers to love and honor Jesus, the savior of the world, and to be selfless sharing ones goods to others with giving of good gifts.

It isn't going to go unnoticed that he changed Hanukkah, lit all the candles at once or had a flawless eid dinner.

He's really going after that Jewish vote isn't he?

As Ropey says, Chanukah is a not a major holiday, no fasts and Jews work, so let Obama have his photo op.

1. I'm sure we will see him poo-poo Christmas as well, maybe drive-bye some poor homeless area of town in DC, and throw out some gifts from the limo window.
2. But when whatever that Ramadan rolls around, he's got muzzies over for a big shindig, prayer meeting on the White House dime.
3. What does that tell the average intelligences?
