And why should anyone listen to moodys who assigned low risks to the junk mortgage instruments that were packaged and sold?

The "crisis" is real. Government is spending too much money. Anyone who doesn't understand that is either in denial or stupid.

And have been in denial or stupid for a couple of decades at least.
Strange how the light just came on when a Dem was elected as president.

I wonder how long we'll keep that AAA rating, it's good that we managed to extend the debt ceiling but we haven't really adressed the underlying problems of over spending.

They as well as the Dems, lobbyists and the voting public overspending are to blame.

Regardless the whole financial world does listen to Moodys and when they do downgrade us to AA (notice I said when, not if) we are going to be in a world of hurt.

In all reality...we should already be below Aaa...the rating is based on ability to pay long term...it is inarguable that America will NOT be able to pay debts in another decade. And since our inglorious leaders just passed the potato for another 2 years...that window in time is getting closed fast.
We should be Aa at best.
