The only solution to poverty is education, it has shown pointless throwing money at poverty it has failed, the ridiculous War on Poverty illustrates that, the only long term solution is education.

With a good job and a decent wage they take themselves out of poverty, but for a good job and a decent wage that requires getting an education, it doesn't have to be Degree level education but just a basic all round education especially one that involves them learning a labour skill.

That is an excellent point in America during The Great Depression the poverty level was for most people today difficult to comprehend, but as you comment they didn't riot or cause violence, so yes poverty doesn't cause crime, those who say it does are just using that as an excuse.

What causes crime is having not a good environment in the home with the parents and other adult role models, children are taught in the home how to behave and how to conduct themselves outside the home, children should be taught that it's wrong to steal what doesn't belong to them and that it's wrong to beat people up and that it's wrong to vandalise another persons property and that it's wrong to be not polite and that it's wrong to not go to school etc, many of these children have very bad role models in the family, especially a lacking of good male role models and also a high percentage of them are growing up in an environment where there is no father but a mother who might be on drugs and have a different boyfriend each month and also a high rate of adult males in their community who are in prison or have a prison record.

So I agree that poverty doesn't cause crime.

With young American Blacks, they had eight years of Barack and Michelle Obama to have as role models of what staying in school and working hard can achieve, yet a majority still instead chose a negative lifestyle of not staying in school and instead thinking it makes them something to be on the street dealing Crack and shooting at each each, they are oblivious to that is the life of losers and a life that ends with them in the grave.

There are many successful Blacks they should be looking to as an example, including Ben Carson and Condi Rice instead they have chosen Gangstas as their role models.

If slavery effected blacks, how come they don't get up early in the morning and work all day?

Because the culture that developed after slavery is one that is fuck the white man. Anything that is mistreated typically goes through such a phase.
