Why do mods find it necessary to close threads? Why not let them run their natural course? If they morph into something else, so what? If you are a mod and not interested in participating in the discussion why not just scroll on by? I always thought the purpose of mods was to get rid of trolls and give people a kick up the butt if they were beng abusive. Closing threads due to their own personal preference/reason is kinda totalitarian IMO, which is ironic given that all the mods are conservatives - and conservatives are champions of free speech and less govt interference etc. Not having too much of a go at the mods, because the ones on these boards, most of the time, are ok (although having a lib one would be good)..just interested...cheers...

BTW, dunno if this is the right folder...

If you have a problem with a mod decision, pm the mod or admin. Read the rules. BTW, thread closed.
