Moderates determined the Presidential Election!

Obama won Moderates by 20 points in 2008.

Kerry won Moderates by 9 points in 2004, despite losing overall.

Self-identified moderates in this country are on balance left of center. That's one more reason the GOP's lurch to the right is doing so much damage to that party.

I believe that's wrong. Moderates tend to be fiscally conservative and socially liberal, though of course, some are the opposite.
