Republicans continue to lead in Colorado in early voting, according to the latest figures from the secretary of state.

So far, 1.7 million of Colorado's 2.7 million voters have cast their ballots, either by mail or in person at an early-voting location.

The party breakdown by those who have already voted is: Republicans, 624,788; Democrats, 590,417; and unaffiliated voters, 474,437.

And historically more Republicans show up at the polls on election day--than do democrats.

Romney also has a double digit lead with Independents:

CBS is out with a new poll of the critical swing states Ohio, Florida, and Virginia. In each, Romney posts significant leads among Independent voters. In Virginia, Romney leads Obama by a massive 21 points among Independents. In OH and FL, he leads by 5-6 points. If this lead holds through election day, he will not lose these states, based on past elections.
Romney also has big leads among those most likely to vote. He wins seniors, the most dependable voting demographic, by 13 points in VA, 11 points in FL and 9 points in OH. Again, if these trends hold, Romney will sweep all three states, according to CBS.

And of course remember that this data does not include Democrats who will be crossing party lines to vote for Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney takes Colorado on Tuesday.

Doesn't matter. People gave Colorado to Romney ages ago

Isn't that a kick in the ass.

Denver is where he was nominated and puked out all his hope and change BS four years ago.

I love it.

Obama doesn't need Colorado to win.

My oh my....how your tiny little mind wanders.

WASHINGTON -- With just one day remaining in the 2012 race for president, the polling picture is now virtually complete. President Barack Obama continues to hold narrow but significant leads over Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney in enough battleground states to put him over the 270 electoral votes needed for victory.

Sooo, Colorado is going back to Commie RED. Gee, what a surprise...

So are Va./Fl./NC.

The question of the hour....Ohio.

Ohio is going for Romney too. Look at these crowds.

1st Barack Obama
President Obama’s big rally tonight turned out to be just like his first, opening salvo of the 2012 campaign: a half-empty arena in Ohio. According to RealClearPolitics’ Scott Conroy, there were “empty seats scattered around the upper-level of Nationwide Arena … Four years ago, after all, Obama was easily filling venues larger than that …” The event even featured Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z, and Obama still couldn’t fill it out.

Then in Defiance Ohio--the Romney crowd.
