I was watching CSPAN and Romney was speaking to a group of a few hundred at a gathering in Iowa. I was listening to some of his ideas and frankly several things he said impressed me. All of a sudden he declared that by the end of Obama's term he would have borrowed more money than all the previous presidents combined. My grandchildren are smarter than that:

Mitt is right based on projected spending thru 2020.

National debt to be higher than White House forecast, CBO says

You folks are living in some kind of fantasy. When Obama took the white house the interest on Reagan-Bushes debt was $450 billion that year. Three years of that is $1.2 trillion dollars. Kindly subtract that from Obama's debt.

In George W. Bush's first cabinet meeting Dick Cheney said, "The Debt Doesn't Matter...Reagan Proved That"

Maybe the debt doesn't but the billions we pay each year as interest damn sure does. Low taxes for the wealthy and corporations equals borrowed money to fund it. It's not rocket science.

Actually, the term is 'bald' faced liar dumbass.

But yeah, Mitt is definitely one of those.

Bare Faced, Bold Faced, Bald Faced, Two Faced, etc. I've heard them all during my 77 years on this planet.

Wasn't Bush out of ofc by this time?

U.S. National Debt Clock : Real Time

15.1 Trillion now

10.6 this date in 2008

That's 4.5 Trillion added in 3 years. Not a lot to toot your horn about.

Hi, please educate yourself on this countries budgetary process.

Yes, I realize the dems have no clue what a budget is these days. However, that is no excuse for your ignorance.

Anybody who understands Jack about the government's business knows that the fiscal year runs from Oct. 1st through the next Sept. 30. George W. Bush's last budget ran till Oct. 1, 2009. The total debt at that time was almost $12 trillion. Also....Bush's war had been funded off budget till Obama declared there would be no more tricks and added the cost to his deficits. You people really should get your shit together if you're going to take part in these discussions.

I played piano and keyboards with at least ten or twelve bands or combos for thirty years when I was younger.....is that what you meant

OR...was it just a way to cover up the Republican deficits, trickery to hide them and the accrued interest on their debts across decades of bad management.

Deficits will matter to the GOP until they get the presidency back, along with Congress.
