Doesn't really mean anything, as it was an open primary. Any voting that includes libtards is about as far from a conservative indication as you can get, and Ill is nothing but fucking socialist leftists.

General election.

Looks like there will be two losers running for President in November... Romney and Obama. Neither are worth the toilet paper it would take to wipe their asses.

Romney vs Obama

gonna be a good fight

IMO Romney's biggest fight is not gonna be with Obama. It's gonna be with his statements and the way he had to run so far right in this primary.

That is not as bad as the battle Barack Obama is going to have with himself...such as being the only president to have a deficit every month of his presidency, wanting higher gas prices(and having the videos to prove it), record deficit, record debt, him and the Democrats lying to the CBO about the cost of Obamcare being $940 billion, when the real cost is now at minimum $1.76 trillion dollars, forcing Obamacare against the will of the American people, having the worst unemployment numbers since the great depression. This idiot, the Democrats and their slavish media is running on the economy improving, which is a lie, even Democrat pollster Stan Greenberg is telling Obama and Democrats NOT to run on an improving economy because Americans are NOT living it. I can write a book on things that are going against Obama, and uhhh...yeah...this time he has a record that can be used against him.

As for Romney, he gave a great speech tonight, he is going to win over people. All he has to do is instead of stating, "Obama's attack on economic freedom", modify it to "Obama's war on freedom".

I dare you to take a look at Mitt Romney's first primary debate, to his victory speech in Il. tonight. As Romney gets closer to locking up the nomination, he will relax more and more, and improve more and more in his speeches and delivery. Yeah, look at the differences...after that it shouldn't take much to figure out Karl Marx Obama is a one termer.
Outta the park! :)

And again, the usaul chorus of Romney Supporters are saying Santorum should pack it in and fall in line and such.

But really, not at all impressive.

When I went to the polling place, it was dead as a doorknob. There were more people actually running the voting than actually voting.

900,000 people voted in the Republican Primary in 2008. More impressive because there was Democrat from IL and his opponent with IL roots who got about 2 million votes between them.

Last night, with no Democratic contest, only about 900,000 people voted about the same as in 2008, and Romney only got as many votes as McCain did when McCain pretty much wrapped the thing up.

What about Obama's statement in July 2008? "I should be judged by my performance. I will cut the deficit by 50% by the end of my first term."
Well the deficit has GONE UP 50% in his first term.
When in the hell is he EVER going to be held accountable for a damn thing?
When is Obama going to be judged on HIS record? After all, HE is the President now.

I could ask the same things about Bush on nearly every question. Yet HE wasn't held accountable for his increasing the deficit and his foolish invasion and occupation of Iraq after promising not to "nation build".

Are you saying that only Democrat Presidents should be held accountable?

Bush IS NOT THE PRESIDENT.
You are confused for damn sure.
Quit making BS excuses for the guy THAT IS PRESIDENT NOW.
News flash for you there good friend: Obama's election WAS THE ULTIMATE action of holding Bush and the Republicans accountable.
Those that refuse to acknowledge that are stuck on stupid.

Presidents that are currently in office are the ones held accountable if they are running for re-election.
Are you telling me you are basing the accountability of the executive on Bush now instead of Obama?
Ok, got it. You are voting for Obama because you are holding Bush accountable.
Makes a lot of sense.
Excuses is all I hear Goose.

Which is it?

60% of Illinois voters stated their #1 priority and issue in this election is the economy.
50% of them voted for Romney.
Among high school dropouts and those with only a high school education and no skilled training such as vocational and college Santorum took those voters 44-33 % over Romney.
But this is the best indicator ofsupport to me: those with incomes of 50K to 100K, the true WORKING middle class, Romney beat the brains out of Santorum by 14 points.
Middle class working folks especially small business folks like me that work 70 hours a week and have our families' entire life savings hanging out there every day are getting abused by the current "leadership" in DC. This administration is beyond ignorant on economic issues. Anyone with a basic understanding of economics knows and sees this daily.

the true working class makes less than 50K in IL. I think you are ignorant of what things cost here.

And frankly, dealing with self-important "small businesses" every day, I get a little tired of their mewling. Romney doesn't give a fuck about you anymore than he does the wage slave you enjoy abusing.

Should also point out, the GOP got less participation in this primary than the one four years ago... which is just sad, really.
